I predict that within the next 50 years all domain names will be used up.
I also predict that we will have ear implants so that when the neighbors dog barks all damn night long, we will be able to turn the volume down enough so that we can sleep in peace.
Bark bark bark bark.
Tomorrow night im setting that thing free.
I live in denmark and here we have flat stoves that are not getting hot like the ones you talk about on the show, it's called induction-stoves and they have been around for at least 10 years.
And most microwave ovens also have a "normal" oven function.
So "They future of tomorrow, today" indeed :D
I did a report on how Print Media will not die out. I understand that Eric is much, much smarter than me, and I wish I could have more information on what he thinks. Would it be possible for me to ask him?
I just wanted to say:
Scott, I heard your Tom Jones reference and laughed very hard. Can't believe nobody got that one.
People, go back and listen to the last 5 minutes. Noone reacted. Brian I'm so disappointed .
But as always Keep up the great work.
Listening to Episode 23 on the way home from work tonight (Yes.. i know i'm behind.)
The talk of the "kitchen of the future" made me think of an idea i had several years ago..
What we need in our kitchens.. is what i call the "MacroWave".. (tm pending :) )
The idea is to have a device that you could put your soda or other beverage or anything you want chilled.. (Deserts etc).. and it would instantly cool through a process not entirely different from how a microwave heats things..
Think of it as a cross between a microwave oven .. and noise canceling headphones..
The device would bombard the item with radio waves of the same frequency, but 180 degrees out of phase with the radiated heat coming off of an object..
Granted.. it would have to be polarized and a with a broad spectrum... and the sensors to detect and analyze the heat signature would be complicated and expensive..
But if you could detect the vibration of the molecules (heat)... and try to vibrate it 180 degrees out of phase..
Voila... instant slow down of molecules.. instant cold.
The scientific / Lab uses would be extremely valuable.. (no more messing with the Liquid nitrogen tanks... just put the object in the "Macrowave".. :)
But... it will really take off when someone realizes that you no longer have to wait for the bottle of Wine or Beer to chill ...
Just a thought..
Love the show.

I didn't expect that to be read on the show! I couldn't sleep because the dogs of doom were barking. So, instead of sleeping i was online looking for domain names while listening to your podcast. I still believe that we are going to run out of domain names. Especially the ones attached to .com
