Cloudy skies for the President - Ep.17

Colleen from TWiT and Molly Wood from CNET join us and predict the rise of the Internet cloud and the end of Obama's reign. Also we had a last minute ad change, so yeah, the ad sounds different. That's because it's FROM THE FUTURE!

My opinion, the only way we can have a reliable tap into internet conductivity would need to have some sort of redundancy relay when one connection drops off, another is ready to take its place. I think the harder task would be that this matrix would have to be made up of different mediums. copper, radio, microwave, laser....... hmmm. you might develop some type brain cancer while being tied up in Cat5 cable performing your own Lazik eye surgery blasting some Spanish-dubed tune from Smashmouth --- BUT at least you can play Farmville where ever you go. Ah, the future will be amazing!

    RE: The One-Term Pres

Please consider another option: All of this administration's policies and decisions stink, suck, and blow. Open your minds, people, he's just plain bad, and the unwashed masses are finally figuring out they were sold a bill of goods. He was and is the least qualified commander-in-chief ever. The electorate voted for "hope" and "change". Their blind optimism is being rewarded with tone deaf arrogance and incompetence. He's going down in a five-spiral crash, so don't be so willing to hold his hand on the way off the cliff. The "powers that be" are the people, and they didn't like what he was doing to our country. Consider us fortunate they woke up from their collective trance before he could do irreparable harm.

LOL @L.B., have fun at your tea party. While I strongly disagree Obama will be a one-term president, I think at least the reasons behind your interviewee's could be logically sound, unlike the crazy up above. I will be happy to come back here once the next presidential election comes around as I think this is the first prediction made on the podcast that actually has a solid time-frame for it to come to fruition.

I was disappointed that such a fowl mouthed wacko was on your show. I am used to much more fun and thoughtful commentary from Scott and the crew of CNET. I dont always agree and there will always be disagreement esp when politics comes up, but regardless of your view of someone, show some class!

Just to clarify Scott, Tom and Molly you are all amazing and will always follow your work and presentations. but as of right now TWIT is off my favorites (which is a shame because i have liked and followed Leo for quite a while)

Yeah, I have to say that the episode was going along really well but then it got side tracked in politics and that led to the twit deciding to insult everyone who ever had faith in anything that isn't science or a politician. I'm not surprised, Leo made a similar remark early in the show's run. I enjoy listening to Scott, Tom, and Molly. Despite whatever political, social, or religious creed they subscribe to, they usually try to keep their shows in the middle of the road. Usually. And they don't feel the need to insult people who believe differently than they do. Usually.
That being said, I enjoy the show, keep up the good work.
