Check out Gogoyoko. It's almost the same to the ideas you were tossing back and forth about music artists and delivering their content immediately.
People can also follow artists through the site, kinda like twitter but you get music updates etc...

Hey Guys, Love the show.
Tom Merrit made a reference to the work of Nick Bostrom that got me interested in a little further reading. Check out his homepage there is a great collection of stuff. The reference is from a 2003 paper Bostrom wrote for the Philosophical Quaterly and it actually has its own webpage with FAQ and a collection of similar papers.
I love this stuff. Thankyou for bringing it to me, and I eagerly await the next show!
